At 7:00 am, we begin your day with a convenient pick-up from your hotel and transport you to the bustling harbor of Puno.
Here, you’ll board a comfortable motorboat for a scenic 40-minute journey to the renowned Uros Floating Islands.
Upon arrival, you have the unique opportunity to step onto these incredible islands made entirely of reeds.
Explore the intricate pathways and interact with the local Uros people, who maintain a traditional lifestyle that’s both fascinating and inspiring.
For an additional fee, you can enhance your experience by taking a ride on a traditional reed boat, offering a closer look at this extraordinary way of life.
After your immersive experience on the Uros Islands, we continue our journey to the captivating Taquile Island, which takes approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes by boat. As we approach, you'll witness the striking landscape of Taquile, where the deep blue of the lake meets the lush, green terraces.
Upon docking, we ascend along a narrow, winding path that slowly leads to the village. This gentle hike is an excellent chance to observe the daily activities of the Quechua-speaking locals.
Once in the village, you’re free to wander around the main Plaza, where you can capture panoramic photographs of the vast Lake Titicaca and interact with the friendly islanders.
Next, we visit a local restaurant where you can savor a traditional meal, typically featuring grilled trout, a specialty of the area.
Our return journey begins after lunch as we descend back to Taquile Island’s harbor.
