Questions & Answers

Which islands can I visit in 3 days?

A typical 3-day itinerary includes Santa Cruz (for giant tortoises and Charles Darwin Station) and either Isabela (for volcanoes and penguins) or San Cristóbal (for sea lions and frigate birds). Remember that Galapagos National Park strictly controls visitor sites and routes. While brief, three days still offers amazing wildlife encounters and pristine landscapes.

How physically demanding are the Amazon excursions?

The excursions are designed to accommodate most fitness levels, though basic mobility is required. Trails to Sandoval Lake involve walking approximately 3 kilometers on mainly flat terrain, with some sections that can be muddy during rainy season. Boat rides are comfortable and stable. We pace our walks to allow for wildlife observation and photography, making frequent stops. The lodge provides walking sticks and rubber boots for extra stability. Most guests aged 8 to 80 can comfortably participate, and guides are always available to assist and adjust the pace as needed.

Are there opportunities for night wildlife viewing?

Absolutely! The Amazon comes alive at night, offering some of our most exciting wildlife encounters. We conduct optional night walks and boat rides to spot nocturnal species like caimans, night monkeys, and fascinating insects. Our guides use specialized equipment to locate wildlife while ensuring guest safety. The nocturnal excursions typically last 1-2 hours and are entirely optional. Many guests find these night adventures to be among their most memorable experiences, as they reveal a completely different aspect of rainforest life.
