Terms and Conditions
1. Acceptance of Terms
By booking a tour with Machu Picchu Alpaca, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. You must read, understand, and accept all the terms before booking your travel.
2. Booking and Payments
- A deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your tour. The deposit amount will be specified in the booking confirmation.
- Full payment is due 60 days prior to the start date of the tour.
- If the booking is made less than 60 days before the start of the tour, full payment is required immediately.
3. Cancellations and Refunds
- Cancellations must be made in writing and will take effect from the date they are received by Machu Picchu Alpaca.
- Cancellations made more than 90 days prior to departure will result in a loss of the deposit.
- Cancellations made 60 to 89 days prior to departure will incur a penalty of 50% of the tour cost.
- Cancellations made less than 60 days prior to departure will incur a penalty of 100% of the tour cost.
- Refunds will not be given for portions of the tour unused by the traveler.
4. Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is mandatory for all travelers and should cover medical expenses, personal accident, emergency repatriation, and personal liability. Machu Picchu Alpaca recommends that it also covers cancellation, curtailment, and loss of luggage and personal effects.
5. Health and Safety
- Travelers must comply with the instructions of Machu Picchu Alpaca’s guides and staff during tours.
- Machu Picchu Alpaca is not responsible for the personal safety of participants or their belongings.
- It is the traveler’s responsibility to ensure they are medically and physically fit for travel.
6. Passports, Visas, and Immigration Requirements
- Travelers must possess a valid passport and all visas, permits, and certificates required for the selected tour.
- Machu Picchu Alpaca is not responsible for any problems or denied entry caused by incorrect or incomplete documentation.
7. Liability
- Machu Picchu Alpaca will not be liable for any loss, damage, illness, death, or injury caused to any person or property during the tour, except where such loss, damage, or injury was caused by the negligent acts of Machu Picchu Alpaca.
8. Privacy Policy
- Machu Picchu Alpaca commits to protecting the privacy of its clients. Personal information collected will be used only for the purpose of booking and managing the tour.
9. Changes to Itinerary
- While Machu Picchu Alpaca will do its best to operate all tours as advertised, it reserves the right to change the itinerary if necessary.
10. Complaints
If you have a complaint during your tour, please inform your tour guide or Machu Picchu Alpaca’s representative at the time, so that they can attempt to rectify the matter.
11. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the law of Peru and any disputes will be resolved exclusively in the courts of Peru.
12. Acknowledgment
By completing the booking, the traveler acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
